The original Porcelain Factory Danmark – Lyngby Porcelæn was established in 1936 in Kongens Lyngby, Denmark, and became a cornerstone of Danish design history before closing its doors in 1969.

In 2012, the brand was relaunched, meticulously recreating original designs. Since 2016, Lyngby Porcelæn has been owned by the Rosendahl Design Group.
