Davines was founded in Parma, Italy, in 1983 by the Bollati family. Initially, the company started as a research laboratory, producing high-end hair care products for renowned cosmetic companies worldwide. After a decade of honing their expertise, they launched their own brand, Davines, focusing exclusively on professional hair care for salons.
All Davines products are formulated and manufactured at the Davines Village in Parma, Italy. This carbon-neutral facility serves as the brand's sustainable headquarters, emphasizing their commitment to environmental stewardship. The brand uses high percentages of natural ingredients and supports biodiversity through various ecological initiatives.
Davines remains an independent, family-owned company, overseen by the founding Bollati family. Unlike many of its competitors in the luxury beauty space, it has not been acquired by a multinational conglomerate. This independence allows Davines to maintain its status as a B Corp, prioritizing social and environmental impact alongside financial performance.
