AEG (Allgemeine Elektricitäts-Gesellschaft) is a historic German legacy brand originally founded in Berlin in 1883 by Emil Rathenau. Known for its 'Perfekt in Form und Funktion' philosophy, the brand has been a cornerstone of German home appliances for over a century.

Today, AEG is the premium international brand of the Electrolux Group. While its headquarters and heritage are German, its manufacturing is distributed throughout Europe to maintain competitive global logistics. High-end ovens are still frequently produced in Germany (Rothenburg ob der Tauber) and Poland (Świdnica). The ultimate owner, AB Electrolux, is headquartered in Sweden, continuing to manage AEG as its lead brand for the European luxury appliance market.
