Sunkist is an iconic American brand of carbonated soft drinks, first launched in 1978 as an orange soda to compete with existing juice brands. The brand's origin lies with the Sunkist Growers cooperative of citrus farmers in the United States, who licensed their trademark name to the General Cinema Corporation's Sunkist Soft Drinks unit to create a brand that would appeal to the health-conscious market of the time.

Over the decades, ownership of the Sunkist soft drink license underwent several transitions. It was sold to Cadbury Schweppes and later spun off as part of Dr Pepper Snapple Group. In 2018, Dr Pepper Snapple Group merged with Keurig Green Mountain to form Keurig Dr Pepper, which remains the ultimate owner of the brand's beverage line. The manufacturing process is primarily centralized in the United States through various regional bottling partners, although international production occurs under license in countries such as Canada and South Korea to satisfy global demand.
