Bombay Sapphire London Dry Gin

Bombay Sapphire is a premium brand of gin that stands out through its signature translucent blue bottle and its unique production method. First launched in 1986 by English wine and spirit merchant IDV, the brand's recipe is inspired by a 1761 recipe created by Thomas Dakin in Warrington, England. Unlike many gins that boil their botanicals directly in the spirit, Bombay Sapphire uses a 'vapor infusion' process where the alcohol vapors pass through perforated copper baskets containing ten selected botanicals.

Today, the product is primarily manufactured at the Laverstoke Mill distillery in Hampshire, England, a historic facility that was formerly a paper mill. The site is notable for its sustainable architecture and glasshouses designed by Thomas Heatherwick. Following a series of mergers and acquisitions in the late 1990s, the brand moved from its original creators to the Bacardi portfolio, where it has since grown into one of the world's most recognizable spirits brands.
