Wisent Vodka is a traditional Polish spirit known as 'Żubrówka' or bison grass vodka. It is flavored with a blade of bison grass (Hierochloe odorata) harvested from the Białowieża Forest, which gives the vodka its characteristic yellowish tint and herbal aroma. This particular brand is distilled and bottled by Polmos Łańcut, one of Poland's historic distilleries with roots dating back to the 18th century.

The distillery was originally established as part of the Lubomirski family estate in Łańcut and became a state-owned enterprise (Polmos) during the communist era. Today, the brand is part of the portfolio of United Beverages, a major player in the Polish alcohol distribution and production market. Manufacturing remains strictly centered in Poland to preserve the geographical indication and traditional production methods associated with bison grass spirits.
