Tine Jarlsberg Lettost cheese

Jarlsberg is a world-renowned Norwegian cheese brand characterized by its distinctive large holes and mild, nutty flavor. While the 'Lettost' version is a light/lower-fat variety, it retains the core characteristics of the original Swiss-style recipe developed in the 19th century and perfected at the Agricultural University of Norway in the 1950s.

The brand is owned and produced by Tine SA, Norway's largest dairy cooperative owned by more than 8,000 Norwegian dairy farmers. Production occurs primarily at dedicated dairy facilities in Norway, such as the one in Jæren, ensuring strict quality control from farm to packaging. Tine also manages international distribution, making Jarlsberg one of Norway's most famous food exports.
