Çaykur is the leading tea producer in Turkey, deeply rooted in the Rize province on the Black Sea coast. The Rize Tourist Tea is one of the most iconic products of the brand, known for its unique aroma and rich amber color. The brand was established to institutionalize tea cultivation in Turkey, which began in earnest in the 1940s.

Today, Çaykur is a state-owned enterprise, managed by the Turkey Wealth Fund. It operates dozens of factories and processes the majority of the tea grown in the region. The production process is entirely localized, benefiting from the specific microclimate of the Eastern Black Sea region, which allows for tea cultivation without the use of pesticides due to natural snow cover in winter.
