Bubbies Fine Foods was founded in 1982 in Stockton, California, by Leigh Truex. The brand quickly became famous for its naturally fermented Kosher Dill pickles, based on traditional Eastern European Jewish recipes. The name 'Bubbies' is an affectionate Yiddish term for grandmothers, reflecting the brand's 'old-world' traditional pickling methods.

While Bubbies is best known for its fermented, salt-brine pickles, the Bread & Butter Chips shown here are a vinegar-based product. Despite changes in corporate ownership, the brand maintains its headquarters and primary manufacturing operations within the United States, continuing to serve North American markets with traditional-style pickled goods.
