Pioneer Audio Video Receiver

Pioneer is a world-renowned Japanese brand founded in 1938 by Nozomu Matsumoto in Tokyo, originally as a radio and speaker repair shop. Over decades, it became a pioneer in home entertainment, notably developing LaserDisc, GPS navigation, and high-fidelity audio equipment.

Today, the Pioneer home audio and video brand is owned by Premium Audio Company, LLC, a subsidiary of VOXX International Corporation. This ownership transition occurred after Onkyo (which managed Pioneer's home electronics division) faced financial restructuring. Manufacturing for Pioneer home receivers is now distributed across multiple countries, primarily in Malaysia, Vietnam, and China, to serve global markets including Denmark.
