Café Intención Intensivo ground coffee

Café Intención is a prominent brand in the fair-trade coffee segment, established by the J.J. Darboven company in Hamburg, Germany. Launched in 1993, it was one of the first Fairtrade-certified coffees available in regular German supermarkets, positioning itself as a pioneer in ethical consumption.

While the coffee beans are sourced from various Fairtrade-certified cooperatives in Central and South America, the final processing, roasting, and packaging take place at J.J. Darboven’s facilities in Germany. The brand remains under the ownership of J.J. Darboven GmbH & Co. KG, a family-owned enterprise with a long-standing history in the coffee roasting industry dating back to 1866.
