Mousline is a premier French brand of instant mashed potatoes, celebrated for its quality and convenience since its inception in 1963. Originally developed by Maggi, a subsidiary of the Swiss multinational Nestlé, Mousline became a staple in European households, particularly in France, Spain, and Germany. The brand is famous for its iconic yellow packaging and its focus on using locally sourced ingredients.
In October 2022, Nestlé completed the sale of the Mousline business to FnB Private Equity, a French investment firm specializing in the food industry. This transition marked Mousline's return to 100% French ownership. The brand's primary and sole manufacturing facility remains located in Rosières-en-Santerre, in the heart of the Picardy region of France. Over 80% of the potatoes used in production are sourced from a group of approximately 150 local farmers located within 30 kilometers of the factory, ensuring a short and sustainable supply chain.
