Today, Bregott is manufactured at Arla Foods' dairy plant in Götene, Sweden, using 100% Swedish cream. The brand is owned by Arla Foods, a massive European dairy cooperative. Arla Foods was formed through the 2000 merger of the Swedish cooperative Arla and the Danish MD Foods, and it is now collectively owned by thousands of dairy farmers across several European nations, including Sweden, Denmark, Germany, and the UK. Despite its international ownership structure, Bregott maintains a deeply rooted identity as a quintessentially Swedish product.
