Huda is a popular Vietnamese beer brand that traces its origins to Central Vietnam, specifically the city of Hue. Launched in 1990, the brand name is a portmanteau of 'Hue' and 'Danmank' (Denmark), reflecting its historical technical cooperation with Danish brewing experts. It has long been a cultural staple of the Central region of Vietnam, known for its crisp taste and iconic green branding.
While originally established as a joint venture, the brand is now fully controlled by the Danish multinational brewer Carlsberg Group. Production remains localized within Vietnam to serve the domestic market, utilizing a combination of European brewing technology and local resources. This blend of international corporate oversight and regional Vietnamese heritage has allowed Huda to maintain its position as one of the leading beer labels in the Southeast Asian market.
