Aroma Coffee

Aroma Coffee is a premier coffee brand synonymous with the Israeli coffee culture. It originated from the Aroma Espresso Bar chain, which was founded in Jerusalem in 1994 by brothers Yariv and Sahar Shefa. The brand revolutionized the local market by introducing a high-standard, standardized espresso bar experience that grew into one of the largest and most successful franchises in the region.

The coffee itself is produced and roasted at the brand's dedicated roasting facility, the Aroma Israel Roastery, located in the Emek Hefer industrial zone. This facility ensures that the specific blends used in their shops—and sold for home consumption—maintain a consistent quality and flavor profile. The manufacturing process involves sourcing premium beans from around the world and roasting them domestically in Israel.

Ownership of the brand is currently split between two major entities: Aroma Israel, which operates the vast majority of the domestic branches and the roasting plant, and Aroma Tel Aviv, which operates as a separate franchise within the city of Tel Aviv. Despite this operational split, the brand remains a dominant force in the Mediterranean coffee industry, known for its signature chocolate praline served with every cup and its global expansion into North America and Europe.
