FAGE is a prominent international dairy company with a rich history rooted in Athens, Greece. Originally founded in 1926 by Athanasios Filippou as a small dairy shop, the brand revolutionized the Greek market in the 1970s by introducing branded, packaged industrial yogurt under the name FAGE (Filippou Adelphi Galaktokomikes Epicheiriseis).

Today, FAGE is recognized globally for its thick, strained 'Total' yogurt, produced using a traditional straining process. While its heritage and identity remain deeply Greek, the company relocated its headquarters to Luxembourg in 2012 for strategic corporate reasons. Manufacturing occurs internationally to serve different regions; for the European market, products are largely made in Greece, while the company operates a major production facility in Johnstown, New York, to supply North American consumers. The company remains privately owned by the Filippou family through Fage International S.A.
