Sperlari Zanzibar Gianduja

Sperlari Zanzibar is a classic Italian chocolate praline, specifically a Gianduja-infused chocolate that often contains whole hazelnuts. The Sperlari brand is a historic cornerstone of Italian confectionery, founded in 1836 by Enea Sperlari in Cremona. For generations, it has been synonymous with high-quality nougat (torrone), mustard, and candies.

While the brand is deeply rooted in Italian tradition, its ownership has transitioned through several international hands over the decades, including H. J. Heinz and Leaf. Since 2017, Sperlari has been owned by the German confectionery group Katjes International. Despite the German ownership, production remains concentrated in Italy, primarily at the historic sites in Cremona and other Italian facilities, maintaining its status as an iconic 'Made in Italy' brand.
