Quad Electroacoustics is a renowned British manufacturer of high-end audio equipment. The iconic Quad 33 preamplifier and FM3 tuner, shown in the image, were originally designed and manufactured in the United Kingdom during the 1960s and 70s. These pieces are celebrated for their distinctive industrial design and longevity in the audiophile community.

Originally founded as the Acoustical Manufacturing Co. Ltd by Peter Walker in London, the brand later moved to Huntingdon. Since the late 1990s, the brand has been part of the International Audio Group (IAG). While modern Quad products are typically manufactured at IAG's facilities in China, these specific vintage units were produced in the UK. The IAG group is headquartered in Shenzhen and Hong Kong and owns several other prestigious British audio brands.
