Acqua Brillante is one of Italy's most historic and iconic tonic waters, deeply rooted in the Italian beverage tradition. Originally created by the Recoaro company, it is produced using spring water from the Recoaro Terme region in the province of Vicenza, which has been renowned for its mineral properties since the 19th century.
The brand has undergone several ownership changes over the decades. Originally an independent Italian company, it was part of the Sanpellegrino group (Nestlé) for many years. In 2016, Nestlé sold the Recoaro brand to the Dutch-based multinational Refresco, which is currently the world's largest independent bottler for retailers and A-brands. Despite being owned by a global conglomerate, the production remains tied to its Italian heritage.
