Maggi KUB OR bouillon

KUB OR is an iconic bouillon brand that has been a staple in French kitchens since its creation in 1907 by Julius Maggi. Originally designed to provide affordable nutrition, the 'Gold Cube' became famous for its distinctive yellow and red packaging and its unique vegetable-based flavor profile.

Today, the brand is owned by the Swiss multinational Nestlé. While the product is deeply rooted in French culinary history and was historically produced in France (notably at the Boué or Itancourt factories), much of the manufacturing for the European market has shifted to Nestlé's specialized production hubs, particularly in Prievidza, Slovakia. Despite these changes in manufacturing location, the brand remains centrally managed by Nestlé's global food division headquartered in Switzerland.
