Hannen Alt Beer

Hannen Alt is a traditional German top-fermented beer, known as Altbier, which has its roots in the Lower Rhine region. The brand was established by the Hannen family in Corschenbroich in 1725, growing to become one of the most prominent Altbier producers in Germany during the 20th century.

Over the years, the brand underwent several ownership changes as the European brewing market consolidated. It was eventually acquired by the Danish brewing giant Carlsberg Group. Today, Hannen Alt is produced under the management of Carlsberg’s German subsidiary. While it maintains its heritage as a classic Düsseldorf-style dark ale, its manufacturing and distribution are integrated into the global infrastructure of one of the world's largest brewery conglomerates.
