The brand was established to provide high-quality electronic products across various categories, including audio equipment, laptops, and monitors, serving as an exclusive in-house alternative to major global electronics brands.

While the brand is German in origin and management, manufacturing is primarily outsourced to specialized production facilities in Asia, particularly China, to maintain competitive pricing. All products are designed and quality-controlled according to European standards before being distributed through MediaMarkt and Saturn retail channels. PEAQ products are currently owned and managed by the parent company CECONOMY AG.
