Smint is a popular brand of breath mints first introduced in 1994. Originally developed in Spain by the Chupa Chups company, the brand quickly gained international recognition for its triangular shape and distinctive dispenser packaging. The primary manufacturing facility for Smint remains in the Barcelona region of Spain, though production may occur in other facilities to support global distribution networks.
In 2006, the brand's original parent company, Chupa Chups, was acquired by the Italian-Dutch multinational corporation Perfetti Van Melle. Today, Perfetti Van Melle remains the ultimate owner, managing Smint alongside other world-famous confectionery brands like Mentos and Airheads. The brand continues to focus on sugar-free, functional confectionery aimed at providing long-lasting fresh breath.
