Seepje detergent

Seepje is a Dutch social enterprise that creates sustainable soap and cleaning products using natural ingredients. The brand's origin story began when founders Melvin Loggies and Jasper Gabriëlse saw people in Nepal making natural soap from Sapindus mukorossi fruit shells (Sapindus shells). This discovery led to the establishment of the company in 2013 with a mission to create a 'cleaner' cleaning industry through fair trade and ecological responsibility.

The products are primarily manufactured in the Netherlands, though the raw materials, specifically the soapnut shells, are ethically sourced from India and Nepal. In early 2024, the brand reached a significant milestone when it was acquired by the Dutch company Care Cosmetics, a move intended to scale the brand's sustainable impact across Europe while maintaining its B Corp status and core values.
