Trendyol E-commerce Marketplace

Trendyol is the largest e-commerce platform in Turkey, serving as a massive digital marketplace for clothing, electronics, groceries, and various consumer goods. Founded in 2010 by Demet Mutlu, the brand initially began as a fashion-focused shopping site and rapidly evolved into a 'super-app' ecosystem that includes its own logistics network (Trendyol Express) and food delivery services (Trendyol Go).

While the platform was founded and is headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey, its ownership structure shifted significantly starting in 2018 when the Chinese multinational conglomerate Alibaba Group acquired a majority stake. Over the following years, Alibaba increased its investment, solidifying its position as the ultimate owner. Despite this international ownership, Trendyol continues to operate primarily out of Turkey, supporting thousands of Turkish sellers and expanding its presence across European and Middle Eastern markets.
