Sanex is a well-established personal care brand that originated in Spain in 1984. It was specifically developed to provide skin-friendly hygiene products that maintain the skin's natural balance. The brand was founded by the company Laboratorios de Cosmética Científica and later became part of the Sara Lee Corporation.
In 2011, the Sanex brand was acquired by Colgate-Palmolive from Unilever (who had to divest it for antitrust reasons during their acquisition of Sara Lee's personal care division). Today, Sanex products are produced in various locations across Europe and globally to serve international markets. As a subsidiary of Colgate-Palmolive, Sanex benefits from the global distribution network and research capabilities of its American parent company, maintaining its reputation for dermatologically-focused skincare.
