Garoto Assorted Chocolates

Garoto is one of the most iconic Brazilian confectionery brands, founded in 1929 by German immigrant Heinrich Meyerfreund in Vila Velha, Espírito Santo. The brand is deeply rooted in Brazilian culture, famous for its yellow 'Caixa Amarela' (Yellow Box) and popular treats like Serenata de Amor and Baton.

Manufacturing takes place at the historic Garoto factory in Vila Velha, which is one of the largest chocolate production facilities in the world. The manufacturing process utilizes cocoa largely sourced from regional Brazilian plantations. Since 2002, the brand has been under the ownership of Nestlé, although the acquisition faced a lengthy legal and regulatory review process in Brazil that lasted nearly two decades. Today, Garoto remains a leading name in the Latin American chocolate market under the global Nestlé umbrella.
