Maille Vinaigre de Xérès

Maille is a historic French brand renowned for its vinegars and mustards, with roots dating back to 1723 when Antoine-Claude Maille founded the house. This specific product, Vinaigre de Xérès (Sherry Vinegar), is a PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) product, meaning it must be produced in the Marco de Jerez region of Spain. While the raw vinegar originates from Spain to meet PDO requirements, the brand itself is quintessentially French and much of the final processing or distribution is managed through French facilities. Since 2000, the Maille brand has been owned by the British multinational Unilever, which acquired the company through its purchase of Amora-Maille.
