Currently, Sidul operates as part of the Sidul Açúcares group, which is a major player in the Iberian market. Ownership has evolved significantly over the years; it is now part of the ASR Group (American Sugar Refining, Inc.), one of the world's largest cane sugar refining companies. While the raw cane may be sourced internationally, the refining and packaging for the Iberian market primarily take place at their large-scale refinery in Santa Iria de Azóia, Portugal.
