Solidox is a historic Norwegian oral care brand that has been a staple in Norwegian households for nearly a century. This specific product, Hvite Tenner (White Teeth), is part of the brand's 'White Active' line, designed to remove surface stains and discoloration effectively without the use of artificial dyes.
The brand was originally founded in Norway in 1932 by the company Lilleborg. Over the decades, it grew to become the market leader in the Norwegian toothpaste segment. In the late 20th and early 21st centuries, while the brand maintained its strong local identity, its corporate ownership shifted as part of broader industry consolidations. Today, Solidox is owned by Orkla, one of the leading consumer goods companies in the Nordics, which has moved much of the production to centralized European facilities, notably in the United Kingdom, to optimize regional supply chains while keeping the brand's development and marketing tethered to its Norwegian roots.
