ProViva Apelsin Mango fruit drink

ProViva is a Swedish brand of probiotic fruit drinks that was developed through collaboration between Swedish scientists at Lund University and Skånemejerier in the late 1980s. The product famously contains the probiotic bacterium Lactobacillus plantarum 299v, which was patented for its health-promoting properties. Originally launched by the Swedish dairy cooperative Skånemejerier in 1994, it became a pioneer in the functional food market.

In 2010, the French food giant Danone acquired a majority stake (51%) in ProViva AB to expand the brand's reach and leverage Danone's expertise in healthy beverages. Today, the product is still primarily manufactured in Sweden, specifically at the dairy facilities in Lunnarp, Scania. The ownership remains a joint venture between Danone and Skånemejerier, making it a prominent brand in the Nordic health-focused beverage segment.
