Clipper Tea is a renowned British brand established in 1984 by Mike and Lorraine Brehme in Dorset, England. Starting with just two chests of finest-quality Assam tea, the brand pioneered the ethical tea movement, becoming the UK's first Fairtrade tea company. Their products are recognized for being natural, fair, and delicious, often focusing on organic ingredients and plastic-free, unbleached tea bags.

The manufacturing primarily takes place in the United Kingdom, specifically at their tea factory in Beaminster, Dorset, where they blend and pack their wide variety of teas and infusions. Clipper has grown from a small family-run business into a major international player in the hot beverage market.

In 2012, the brand was acquired by Wessanen, a Dutch food group specializing in organic and sustainable products. Wessanen later rebranded as Ecotone in 2020. Today, Clipper remains a flagship brand under the Ecotone umbrella, continuing its commitment to biodiversity and ethical sourcing while being managed from its headquarters in Lyon, France.
