Odol-med3 is a classic German dental care brand, tracing its roots back to the late 19th century when the original 'Odol' mouthwash was invented in Dresden by Karl August Lingner. The 'med3' variant was introduced to provide triple protection against tooth decay, gum problems, and tartar buildup.
Today, the brand is owned by Haleon, a global leader in consumer health that was spun off from GSK (GlaxoSmithKline). While the brand originated in Germany and remains one of the most popular toothpaste labels in the country, manufacturing for the European market is now largely concentrated in large-scale production facilities such as the Haleon site in Levice, Slovakia, which produces the majority of their oral care products for the DACH region.
