Karlovačko is one of the most popular and historically significant beer brands in Croatia. Originally founded in 1854 by Baron Nikola Vranyczany-Dobrinović in the city of Karlovac, the brewery has grown into a national icon known for its signature red branding and traditional brewing methods.

Today, the brand is owned by the global brewing giant Heineken N.V. through its local subsidiary, HEINEKEN Hrvatska. While it remains deeply rooted in Croatian culture and is primarily manufactured at the historic brewery in Karlovac using local ingredients, its ownership structure is part of an international network based in the Netherlands. The beer is widely exported but maintains its status as a staple of the Croatian beverage industry.
