Gauloises is an iconic brand of cigarettes of French origin, originally manufactured by SEITA. Known for its strong cultural association with French identity and intellect, the brand was launched in 1910. Traditionally made from dark tobacco with a distinctive aroma, the brand evolved to include 'Blondes' varieties (like the one pictured) to appeal to global tastes.

In 2008, the brand's owner Altadis was acquired by the British multinational Imperial Brands (formerly Imperial Tobacco). Following the acquisition, much of the production was moved out of France to optimize the supply chain. Today, Gauloises cigarettes sold in Europe are predominantly manufactured in Poland, though regional production may vary across the company's global facilities. Imperial Brands maintains the heritage of the name while managing it as part of their international cigarette portfolio.
