Paulaner Leichte Weiße

Paulaner Leichte Weiße is a traditional German wheat beer with a lower alcohol content, produced by the Paulaner Brewery in Munich. The brand traces its history back to 1634, founded by the Minim friars of the Neudeck ob der Au monastery. The name of the order and the brewery refers to Francis of Paola, the founder of the order.

Today, Paulaner is one of the six breweries that provide beer for Oktoberfest. While it maintains its deep Bavarian roots and traditional brewing methods in Munich, the company is part of a joint venture. It is owned by the Paulaner Brauerei Gruppe GmbH & Co. KGaA, which is a partnership between the Schörghuber Unternehmensgruppe and the Dutch brewing giant Heineken N.V. This structure allows the brand to maintain local heritage while leveraging global distribution networks. All Paulaner beers are brewed in accordance with the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516.
