Steamhammer (SPV) Music CD

Steamhammer is a well-established sub-label of SPV GmbH, a prominent German independent record label founded in 1984. Originally based in Hannover, Steamhammer specialized in heavy metal and hard rock music. The label became famous for hosting legendary bands like Motörhead, Saxon, and Sodom.

Over the years, the ownership structure of SPV evolved. After undergoing reorganization in the late 2000s, SPV and its imprints, including Steamhammer, were eventually acquired in late 2020 by Napalm Records, an Austrian independent record label. This acquisition brought the historic German metal catalog under the management of one of the world's leading independent rock and metal labels. The products are manufactured within the European Union to serve the global music market.
