Lexus CT 200h

The Lexus CT 200h is a luxury hybrid electric automobile that was first introduced at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. It was specifically designed to appeal to the European market and younger demographic, serving as the entry-level model for the Lexus brand. Throughout its production lifespan, the vehicle was manufactured exclusively at the Toyota Motor Kyushu plant in Miyawaka, Fukuoka, Japan.

Lexis is the dedicated luxury vehicle division of the Japanese automaker Toyota. While Lexus operates with its own design, marketing, and training divisions, it is fully owned and operated by Toyota Motor Corporation. The brand was created following a secret project started in 1983 to develop a new premium sedan, eventually leading to the launch of the LS 400 in 1989.

Today, Lexus remains a cornerstone of Toyota's global strategy, maintaining its headquarters in Nagoya, Japan. The CT 200h was significant for being the first luxury compact hatchback to utilize a full hybrid drivetrain, sharing much of its technology with the Toyota Prius. Although production for many markets ended around 2017, it continued in others like Japan and Europe until roughly 2022.
