Cheez-It is a legacy snack brand that was first introduced in 1921 by the Green & Green Company based in Dayton, Ohio. Known for its distinct square shape and real cheese flavor, the brand has expanded its lineup over the decades to include various textures such as 'Crunchers,' which offer a more robust crunch compared to the original thin cracker.

The brand has changed ownership several times through corporate acquisitions. It was first part of the Sunshine Biscuits portfolio, which was later acquired by Keebler in 1996. In 2001, the Kellogg Company acquired Keebler, bringing Cheez-It into its global snacking division. Most recently, following the corporate split of Kellogg Company into two entities, the brand is now managed by Kellanova, which focuses on global snacking brands.

While predominantly recognized as an American snack icon with manufacturing concentrated in the United States, Cheez-It products are distributed internationally through Kellanova's extensive global supply chain.
