Beauvais tomato ketchup and tomato purée

Beauvais is one of Denmark's most iconic food brands, specifically famous for its tomato ketchup which has been a staple in Danish households for decades. The brand was originally founded in Copenhagen in 1850 by French immigrant Jean Desiré Beauvais. Originally known for its canned goods and preserved meats, the brand eventually became the definitive market leader for ketchup in Denmark.

While the brand has deep Danish roots, ownership has changed through several industrial acquisitions. Today, Beauvais is part of Orkla ASA, a Norwegian conglomerate. While many of the brand's products are developed for the Danish market specifically, manufacturing often takes place at Orkla's large-scale production facilities across the Nordics, notably in Fågelmara, Sweden, which is one of the region's largest ketchup production sites.
