Winston is a world-renowned cigarette brand originally founded in the United States in 1954 by the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. Named after Winston-Salem, North Carolina, it quickly became the top-selling cigarette brand in the U.S. during the mid-20th century.
Today, the brand operates under a split ownership model: ITG Brands (a subsidiary of Imperial Brands) manages the brand in the United States, while Japan Tobacco International (JTI) handles all International sales and production. Manufacturing for the international market, including various 'Classic' editions, takes place in multiple specialized facilities across Europe, Asia, and the Americas to serve local markets.
