Dermacol is a legendary Czech beauty brand that gained international fame in the 1960s with its high-coverage foundation, which was one of the first of its kind in the world. Originally developed at the Film Studio Barrandov in Prague, the formula was so effective that the license was eventually sold to Hollywood in 1969. To this day, the product remains a cult favorite among professional makeup artists and consumers for its extreme waterproof and hypoallergenic coverage.

While many global cosmetic brands have shifted operations to various hubs, Dermacol maintains a strong commitment to its heritage. The majority of its production continues to take place in the Czech Republic, specifically in its modern laboratory and manufacturing facilities in Brno. Today, the brand is privately held by Věra Komárová and her husband Vladimir Komár. This family-led ownership has allowed the brand to maintain its focus on traditional European quality while aggressive expanding its digital and brick-and-mortar presence in the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas.
