The brand was founded by Arthur Liao, who established a small helmet production facility in China in the early 1990s. Over time, the company grew from an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) producing helmets for other brands into a proprietary label known as LS2, which was officially launched in 2007 with headquarters transferred to Barcelona, Spain, to better serve the international market.

Today, LS2 operates as a subsidiary of MHR Garments Co. Ltd. While the brand is managed internationally from Spain, the manufacturing remains centralized at large-scale production facilities in China. This vertically integrated manufacturing model allows the company to control every stage of production, from raw materials to the final product, ensuring adherence to international safety certifications like ECE and DOT.
