Nitro Snowboards

Nitro Snowboards was founded in 1990 in Seattle, Washington, by Sepp Ardelt and Tommy Delago with the goal of creating technical snowboarding equipment for enthusiasts. Despite its American birth, the brand has deep European roots as its design and development office has been based in Oberammergau, Germany, for decades.

Today, Nitro is a global leader in the snowboarding industry. While major development happens in Germany, the majority of their high-end boards are manufactured in Austria at the specialized GS factory. In 2023, Nitro Snowboards entered into a strategic partnership and eventual acquisition by Falconeri (supported by Gruppo Veronesi) to further bolster its premium positioning in the winter sports market.
