In 2019, a significant shift in ownership occurred when The Coca-Cola Company acquired Costa Limited from Whitbread PLC for approximately $4.9 billion. This acquisition allowed Coca-Cola to gain a strong platform in the hot beverage category. Today, Costa Coffee operates as a subsidiary of the United States-based beverage giant, maintaining its headquarters in Loudwater, Buckinghamshire, while leveraging Coca-Cola's global distribution network.
