While the brand originated in the United States, its manufacturing is now global, spanning various countries including Honduras, Vietnam, China, and El Salvador to meet international demand.

Starting in June 2024, the brand underwent a significant ownership transition. Authentic Brands Group (ABG) entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Champion from HanesBrands Inc. Under ABG's management, the brand is poised for a new chapter of global expansion and licensing, while maintaining its heritage as a leader in athletic apparel.
