Guinness stout

Guinness is one of the most successful alcohol brands worldwide, known primarily for its Irish Dry Stout. The beverage was first brewed in 1759 at the St. James's Gate Brewery in Dublin, Ireland, by Arthur Guinness. Over the centuries, it has become a global icon of Irish identity and brewing excellence.

While the heart of Guinness remains in Dublin, the product is manufactured in a diverse range of countries across Africa, Asia, and Europe to meet local demand. This international production network ensures that the Draught, Foreign Extra Stout, and other variants are available in over 150 countries.

In 1997, Guinness PLC merged with Grand Metropolitan to form Diageo, which remains the ultimate owner of the brand. Headquartered in London, Diageo is a global leader in beverage alcohol with an extensive portfolio. Despite the change in corporate ownership, the brand maintains its deep heritage connections to its original Dublin home through a 9,000-year lease signed by Arthur Guinness.
