These snacks are part of the private label range offered by Eroski, a prominent Spanish retail cooperative. The specific product shown in the image is manufactured by Liven, S.A.U., a specialized snacks producer based in Barcelona, Spain. Liven operates several production facilities in Catalonia and Castilla-La Mancha, supplying a wide variety of snacks, popcorn, and Tex-Mex products to major retailers.
While the Eroski brand is owned by the Eroski S.Coop. cooperative based in the Basque Country, the manufacturing partner, Liven, was acquired in 2022 by the Finnish food and beverage giant Paulig Group. Paulig is a family-owned international company founded in 1876, headquartered in Helsinki, Finland. This acquisition integrated Liven into Paulig’s extensive European snack and Tex-Mex portfolio, which also includes brands like Santa Maria and Poco Loco. Consequently, while the product is sold under the Spanish Eroski brand, its production is overseen by a subsidiary of a Finnish multinational.
