Balconi is a prominent Italian brand specializing in the production of sponge cakes, biscuits, and wafers. Founded in 1953 by Michele Balconi, the company evolved from a small artisanal pastry shop in Milan into a large-scale industrial leader in the sweet snack sector. Its products are widely recognized for being free from palm oil, GMOs, and artificial colorings, emphasizing quality and traditional Italian flavors.

In June 2015, Balconi was acquired by Valeo Foods, a major European food group. Today, Balconi operates as a key part of Valeo's Italian platform, exporting its products to over 80 countries worldwide. The brand maintains its core production facilities in Italy, specifically in Nerviano, where millions of items are produced daily for both the Balconi label and various private labels.
