Manhattan Ice Cream

Manhattan is a popular ice cream brand primarily found in Central and Eastern Europe, particularly in Poland, the Czech Republic, and Hungary. While the branding evokes a 1950s American aesthetic—using the iconic New York City skyline and classic "American-style" dessert flavors—the brand is actually a European creation.

Originally launched by Nestlé, the brand is now part of Froneri, a global joint venture created in 2016 between Nestlé and R&R Ice Cream. The product is primarily manufactured in Poland at the Froneri production facilities (formerly Nestlé) in Mielec or Namysłów. Froneri is one of the world's largest ice cream manufacturers, co-owned by the Swiss food giant Nestlé and the French private equity firm PAI Partners. The brand focuses on large family-sized tubs featuring a variety of "swirled" flavor combinations.
